The Guitar Geek is a guitar hero type of game. The basic idea is to press the certain keys according to game. The game controls are 'A','S','D' and 'F'. The main menu has a guy playing a guitar and mouse pointer is in shape of guitar pick. Pressing anywhere on the screen using the left mouse button will present the player with a main menu. The main menu has six buttons of which five are related to this game. The buttons are named 'Start', 'Practice', 'Options', 'Credits', 'More Games' and 'View Scores'. Pressing the 'Start' button will present the player with Select Difficulty menu. The difficulties are named 'Easy', 'Normal', 'Hard' and 'Geek'. Pressing one of these buttons the player will be presented with another menu named Select Track where player can choose which track he is going to play on guitar. After choosing the track just press 'Continue' button. Pressing the 'Continue' button will start the games. The game panel has on it's left side a guitar neck with letters 'A,S,D,F' representing each string. In the upper right corner is Bonus indicator. When the game starts the letters will start falling down the strings and the idea is to press the key that represents letter on the guitar string once the falling letter and it's static name are matched. Pressing the 'Practice' button will present the player with tutorial regarding how to play the game. Pressing the 'Options' button will present the player with ability to turn the sound to minimum or maximum and in between. Pressing the 'Credits' button will present the player with game developer's details. Pressing the 'View Scores' will show the score board. My advice for players of this game is to have good reflexes and fast fingers. |
