This game is basically the solitaire card game, except that it use tournament rules and scoring, so the objective of the game is not to always clear all the cards but simply to obtain the highest score as possible.
The scoring is as follows:
Moving a card directly from the deck to the foundation earns 5 points
Moving a card from the table to the foundation earns 5 points
Moving a card from the deck to the table earns 10 points
Revealing any new card in a column earns 5 points
Penalty to re-deal the deck (third redeal onwards) lose 20 points.
You start with 5 minute time remaining. If you manage to clear all the cards before the time is over, you get 2 seconds bonus for every second of time remaining.
So as you can see from the scoring list, it makes every sense to always try to move cards from deck to table before moving them to foundation because that way you will get 15 points instead of 5.
It is also a good idea not to do a re-deal unless you are certain that the re-deal can solve the stacks and produce more than 20 points.
Only the highest scores can be recorded in the leader table. |
